Sir Bruce Forsyth RIP.

I have been off the Internet due to computer issues for a few days so I missed this one on Friday. Sir Bruce Forsyth entertainer and presenter sadly died aged 89 on 18th August.

He had been unwell for some time and spent time in hospital early this year with a chest infection.

Born 22 February 1928 Bruce Joseph Forsyth-Johnson was born in Edmonton, north London.

His long career in show business began when he was aged just 14 as Boy Bruce, the Mighty Atom at the Theatre Royal Bilston.

He was famous for hosting game shows like The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right and The Price is Right. Presenting BBC One’s Strictly with Tess Daly from 2004 to 2014.

Due to ill health he had not been seen in public recently being too frail to attend the funerals of close friends Ronnie Corbett and Sir Terry Wogan last year. He under went keyhole surgery after suffering two aneurysms following a fall at his Surrey home in 2015.

Rest in peace Sir Bruce.
